About us
It all started when…
one of our customers purchased a medical case from us and mentioned she was a NICU nurse. She saw the potential for a wonderful partnership and the love we could spread to families in one of the darkest chapters in their life.
Stefanie has a soft spot in her heart for NICU families, as her twins spent 9 weeks in the NICU. They were born at 30 weeks, and are now in first grade and thriving. She understands the fear, loneliness, and uncertainty that comes from having a premature baby. Most people do not know what it REALLY means to have a premature baby, they just think the baby will be small. It’s so much more than that. It’s a slew of serious life threatening issues and an entire new language and way of life for the family. It’s a completely un-natural veer of course. It’s not normal to give birth and then go home without your kid(s), it’s not normal to have a baby you cannot carry, and the list goes on. So many of these moms had plans, baby showers, baby books, layette, cute clothes, and milestone cards, none of which matter or are relevant now. Onesies don’t work or fit, the ones that fit you don’t have the time or energy to look for or care about. The day your baby is big enough to wear clothes, and you see them in an outfit, life feels normal for a minute. You are able to see your child as a child, and not as this fragile baby you’re hoping and praying with all your soul survives. Our goal is to bring that feeling to NICU families, that feeling when you feel normal for a minute, when you receive a gift that you can relate to, when your baby has a “normal” moment, when you can capture that milestone with a custom card that speaks to you. They don’t widely make and offer “I am off CPAP” milestone cards, or “I was brave today”, or “Mommy’s first cuddle”. The goal at the Mommy’s Miracle Project is to make families feel seen, understood, not forgotten, and loved. We want them to have the most normal experience in the most abnormal circumstances. We want to celebrate each milestone - no matter how small.
